Mark is a Chartered Accountant by profession. He retired from full-time employment in March 2020 following a career in the City, where he worked as a senior leader in the financial services sector for over 30 years, developing a wealth of experience in finance, governance and risk control.

Mark has held a number of voluntary and board roles throughout his career, and first became involved with One Trust in 2017, as a member of the Pilotlight team focused on helping develop strategy and enhance governance and leadership in the first couple of years after the charity’s formation.  Having seen first-hand the drive and passion behind One Trust, he was excited by the prospect of getting further involved as a Trustee and Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee, when the opportunity arose in mid-2020.

In his spare time, Mark is a keen photographer, and also enjoys playing the bass guitar as a member of a covers band.
