Health and Wellbeing
Our staff co-ordinate a range of physical pursuits and activities across our sites and beyond. These are aimed at promoting health, fitness and wellbeing. Examples include Boccia, indoor bowls, massage, yoga, swimming, cycling, sailing, walking, keep fit, dance and chair based exercises. We assist members to maintain individual fitness programmes via local leisure centres, and also run group activities in parks and outdoor spaces.
We have recently appointed Simon Thorpe to the role of Sports and Wellbeing Co-ordinator, and Simon has set to work on developing our service offering in this area. We will assess personal requirements and develop a weekly regime of activity to target interests, abilities, and goals. The service will support individuals to achieve a range of positive outcomes including weight management, improved mobility and wellbeing in the most fun ways possible.
