Battersea Base is housed in a shared space at the Wilditch community centre and supports individuals with a wide range of abilities and needs. A stone’s throw from Battersea Park and the River Thames, the group are perfectly positioned to take advantage of all that London has to offer. Activities are flexible depending on local events and personal choices. The Battersea Base provides a range of spaces including a kitchen, sports hall and activity rooms. The base is fully accessible and houses a wet room changing facility with a ceiling hoist. The group enjoy a range of community projects, most recently a series of creative workshops at Holly Lodge in Richmond Park.

Learning and leisure - We support a functional approach to learning and encourage independence through participation in everyday tasks. For example, when visiting leisure facilities, travels skills are promoted through the use of public transport.
Art & creativity - Our in-house art tutor Luke runs weekly workshops. Many of the projects - which encompass sculpture and video - take their inspiration from visits to galleries and exhibitions.Find out more
Exploring London's parks - The group regularly visits London's open spaces including Kew Gardens, offering walks in beautiful and historic surroundings.Find out more
Wellbeing - Individuals have the opportunity to unwind with a foot spa after a long walk in the park, and enjoy regular hand and foot massage sessions.
