We're always looking for new talent...
One Trust is committed to developing and retaining a highly skilled, diverse, flexible and responsive workforce who are trusted and valued by our service users and their carers. We believe that a service is only as good as its frontline staff, therefore we promise consistent and high quality supervision practice and a performance appraisal scheme that embeds the values of the organisation and recognises individual initiative and enthusiasm. We promote personal development with an integrated, comprehensive and accessible programme of multi-agency and specialist training opportunities to ensure that the workforce supporting our service users and their carers is skilled and professional. Many of our staff have been with the service for a number of year providing a familiar and knowledgeable framework for personalised care.
All of our staff are DBS checked prior to employment.
We are currently recruiting to our board of trustees.
Trustee with financial background
One Trust’s vision is to lead the way in creating, “A world where people with profound and multiple learning disability and their family carers are valued, can realise their potential and live their lives the way they choose”.
Our work is to provide leading edge services, opportunities, therapies, and respite, to people with profound and multiple learning disability and their family carers. We strive to offer a safe, proactive and flexible service offering that enables recipients to reach their full potential and live fulfilling lives.
One Trust provision is primarily based in Wandsworth serving people in south west London. We do however have ambitions to grow and extend our influence.
We are now looking for an independent trustee to join our board, to play a crucial role in helping us to achieve our aims and be as influential and effective as possible.
For this recruitment we would particularly welcome applications from individuals with significant experience of being a trustee. To bolster our governance and support for our business we are particularly interested in attracting individuals with a finance background to head our finance sub committee and oversee all financial considerations relating to One Trust. We would welcome CIMA/CIPFA/ICAEW registered accountants as well as individuals that have worked in the financial services sector. We are also looking for people with a special interest in terms of positively impacting the lives of people with learning disability and their family carers.
One Trust is politically independent, however we are proactive in pushing our agenda to tackle discrimination, look after the interests of those we support and improve the quality of life and opportunities available to the people we serve.
One Trust is very much a charity with a commercial approach. We recognise that financial security and adaptability are key to realising our objectives. The people we support come from a diverse range of backgrounds and circumstances, therefore where possible, we endeavour to appoint people to mirror that diversity.
We welcome applications from across the UK from people who are able to make the considerable commitment required to govern One Trust over the next 3-6 years. The full One Trust board meets 4 times a year in south west London and successful applicants would be required to join an additional sub-committee.
To request an application form email Lorraine Williams at PA@onetrust.co.uk. Alternatively, you can contact One Trust on 020 3096 9130 during the hours of 9:00am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday.
