On Saturday 4th November One Trust were presented with a cheque from the organisers of the Nightingale walk (pictured), which (added to the proceeds from T-shirt sales on the day) totaled a whopping £1275.00 donation!!
The walk, which took place on Saturday 17th June 2017, was the 38th consecutive year of the event, making it one of the longest running community charity events in the country. Local people from in and around the Nightingale Lane area in Wandsworth walked the 20 mile long walk along the Thames path, raising a staggering total of just under £10,000 for One Trust and the following local good causes;
- Queen Elizabeth House.
- Wandsworth Community Transport
- The Haven
- Oak Lodge School
- 12th/14th Battersea Westside Scouts.
Huge thanks go out to the organisers and walkers on the day, our staff who manned the checkpoint station at Richmond, our CEO Will who walked the full very (very!) hot 20 miles and of course everyone who sponsored a walker/ supported the cause.
