The One Trust Story

One Trust started life as a council run service, becoming an independent charity in 2015 – a natural progression for Learning Disability Day Services that places people at the forefront of decision making and governance.

The transition from children’s services to adult services can be a difficult time, all the more so because adult provision has traditionally failed to match the higher resources available to young people.  One Trust seeks to bridge the gap in this quality and raise the bar for adult services.  As a charity, our purpose is to invest all our resources to run and improve the services we offer.

At One Trust we recognise and value that everyone is unique.  We believe in:

  • positively transforming the lives of people with a learning disability
  • communication that is effective and meaningful
  • innovation and teamwork
  • good practice and positive attitudes
  • working in partnership with carers

Our Service users

We specialise in supporting individuals with complex needs and Autism.  Our Positive Behavioural Support Service ensures that individuals obtain the right levels of support to meet their needs across the service and beyond.

Carers Support

We recognise that active parent carers have little time to attend to their own needs with their own health and wellbeing often taking a back seat. Our Care Management lead is on hand to assist with all aspects of your journey.
